Have your say on natural resource management priorities

Central West Local Land Services has developed a draft Natural Resource Management (NRM) Plan and are seeking feedback on identified goals, strategies and associated actions, as well as suggestions for capacity building and on-ground NRM based activities over the next five years.

Face-to-face community consultation sessions have been organised for both Dubbo on November 30 and Forbes on December 1 to capture opinions and ideas, with those unable to attend encouraged to have a voice through the web based survey.

Information gathered will assist our staff to outline the activities that will make up our National Landcare Program Phase Two application for funding.

Central West Local Land Services General Manager Andrew Mulligan said that when finalised, the plan will provide a consistent basis for regional planning and delivery.

“The consultation is an opportunity for stakeholders, organisations and interested community members to provide feedback on the future management of natural resources within our region,” Mr Mulligan said.

“The online survey entitled ‘Guiding Central West natural resource management programs’ can be accessed at open.lls.nsw.gov.au/centralwest, with responses being accepted until Friday 8 December 2017.”
